Dell printing a shadow of text and images. (Ghosting Effect)

A shadow effect is referred to as ghosting. Toner is sticking on a drum and is being re-printed. There are two drums it could do this on, one would be the OPC drum (which is part of the print cartridge) and the other possible one is on the fuser.  The first step is to try a new print cartridge which is the most likely cause.  If this doesn't fix the printer the next step is to replace the fuser. Also, make sure you always use genuine dell print cartridges and acceptable paper, failure to do so can result in ghosting and other issues.
